Over the years, operation of the group had involved semi-manufacturing processes. Alka Ria (M) Sdn. Bhd. was involved in the business of buying plain raw fabric and getting them printed by local printing companies on a commission basic. The printing process then used manual silk screen printing method. Teaming up with Mr.Ho Chiew Heng and Mr.Choo Thye Seng, both experienced in the textile printing business,UTEX PRINT SDN. BHD.was formed in 1984.

BHD. 终於在 1984 年成立了。 Owing to the relatively high cost of new printing machines, the company purchased three(3) used textile semi-automated printing machines from a Singapore based firm. A factory lot was purchased to house the Estate, Kulim, Kedah. The factory commenced operation in mid 1985.
由于新的印制机价钱昂贵,本公司向家新加坡公司购买了三部使用过的半自动化纺织品印制机。工厂位於Estate,Kulim Kedah ，并开始操作于1985年中。

However, owing to inexperience in handling a large scale operation, the company's activities did not get smooth and stabilised. The few years saw the resignation of Mr.Ho Chiew Heng as Director but remaining as a shareholder.

Under the re-organised administration headed by Mr.Choo Thye Seng since early 1993, UTEX PRINT SDN. BHD. had achieved considerable improvement in sales turnover. In late 1993 and mid1994, two(2) new machines were purchased, thus replacing two of the older plants enabled the company to increase its capacity as well as improve printing finished quality.
在1993年，在Mr.Choo Thye Seng 的重整管理及带领之下， UTEX PRINT SDN. BHD.销售转交大量改善。于 1993 年头和1994 年终, 公司购买了两部新机器, 代替了之前两部旧的机器，使公司提高生产以及改进印完成的质量。

In mid 1997,a new rotary screen printing machine together with new CAD designing hardware and computer software was commissioned, to enable the factory to offer their customers fine print quality with up to twelve(12) colours in each design.
在1997年中, 公司购买了一台新转台式屏幕制印机，其备有电脑制图硬件和电脑软件。这机器使工厂提供顾客品质优良的印刷及12种颜色的设计。

Since 1995, UTEX PRINT SDN. BHD. has been able to achieve good sales turnover and provide their customers with quality product finish.
The factory currently operates on three(3) working shifts, employing about eighty(80) skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled workers.
自1995 年以来,UTEX PRINT SDN. BHD.已达到好销售转交，同时也提供顾客品质优良的产品。目前这家工厂操作3个轮班工作制度 , 聘请大约80位熟练、半熟练和不熟练的员工。
